Guests who stay at African Game Lodge love the individual thatched Karoo-style chalets, which are designed to provide comfort and the opportunity to enjoy the spaciousness of the Karoo landscape. The traditional chalets look out onto a vast plain. You may even have Sadie the ostrich come round the corner, and if you are lucky, a resident “Bat Eared Fox” may come investigating during the evening. We are currently boasting two Luxury Tents that are situated about 2km from the main lodge, teeming with wildlife and birdlife. You are truly alone in the wilderness, far from other guests and tucked out of sight. A beautiful oasis in the middle of the arid Little Karoo where you can recharge your batteries, take time out from the city or the kids, and re-kindle the fires of love. This luxury tent is a unique and secluded nature break that is affordable. This is also an amazing place for a honeymoon if you are both nature lovers and want to experience your special time together in a low-keyed fashion. We are very environmentally conscious and encourage our guests to join us in our quest to tread lightly on the earth. The chalets operate on 12-volt solar power and cannot take conventional electrical appliances.Laptops and iPads may be recharged in the main lodge, which has 220V power. 12-Volt Hairdryers are available on request (but after a few days at African Game Lodge, most guests surrender and just enjoy nature). There is a LAN internet connection in the lounge. The communal lodge has Wi-Fi internet services.
There is no cell-phone signal at the lodge but there are high sites where signal can be obtained. A satellite phone is available at reception in case of emergencies.
